Glenfarclas 25 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 43% ABV after 25 years in oloroso sherry casks. It comes from a Scottish distillery that has belonged to the Grant family since 1865.
The long maturation produced a full-bodied whisky, with honey-roasted nuts, coffee and sherry on the nose.
The nose adds orange marmalade and aged wood. The palate is full and robust, with a balance of spirit and sherry, and notes of orange, walnut, marzipan and coffee. The finish is intense and long, dry, malty and nutty, with dark chocolate.
