Glenfarclas – 26 Year Old 1996 Family Casks Release S22

This is a Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1996 and matured for 26 years in a single fourth fill butt, number 852. It was bottled in July 2022 at natural cask strength as part of the Family Casks series, the Summer 2022 release, with 582 bottles filled. The butt was on its fourth fill, so the cask had little influence and the spirit leads. The whisky is described as showing orchard fruits, honeyed malt and subtle oak.
