Glenfarclas 27 Year Old is a UK limited edition single malt from the family-owned Speyside distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry casks, and 268 bottles were produced.
The colour is a rich golden amber. The nose has rich dried fruit and warming aromatic spice, with sweet malt and developed nut and oak character.
The palate is concentrated, with dried fruit, dark chocolate, rich nuts and gentle spice, and a well-integrated sherry cask influence alongside polished oak. The finish is long, smooth and warming, with lingering dried fruit, chocolate and spice, and mature oak at the close.
