Glenfarclas – 28 Year Old 1993 Family Casks Release S22

This is a Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1993 and matured for 28 years in a single fourth fill butt, number 4439. It was bottled in July 2022 at natural cask strength as the Summer 2022 release in the Family Casks series, with 413 bottles filled. As the butt was on its fourth fill, the cask had little influence on the spirit, which leaves the distillery's own character in the lead. The whisky is described as showing orchard fruits, honeyed malt and subtle oak.
