Glenfarclas – 30 Year Old (70cl)

Glenfarclas 30 Year Old is a limited release single malt in a 70cl bottle, launched by J. G. Grant as Glenfarclas marked 180 years of production since 1836. It comes in a red wooden box designed to recreate the distillery's warehouse doors, with a metallic 30 year old age statement and warehouse stencilling. The box sits inside an outer carton, and its interior matches the purple border of the original 30 year old label. The nose is full and complex, with fruit and sherried malty tones. The palate brings sherry, cognac, brandy, fruit, nutty marzipan and icing. The finish is long, with burnt chocolate at the back of the mouth.
