This is a 30 year old Glenfarclas single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is polished copper. Orange cake, juicy malt and fruit mince pie lead the nose, with a note of gobstopper, and aeration brings out oatmeal biscuit.
The texture is almost chewy, with honeyed malt and light Christmas pudding at the centre, then buttered raisin bread, caramel fudge and a grassy freshness. The finish ends woody but stays lively.
