Glenfarclas 35 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
Glenfarclas is owned and run by J. & G. Grant, and the distillery has stayed in family hands since John Grant bought it in 1865.
The nose combines roasted almonds, dark dried fruit, creamy toffee and ripe sherry notes. On the palate, sherried fruit and raisins meet dark chocolate, with toffee, almonds, cinnamon and cocoa. The finish is long and elegant, warm with cinnamon and cocoa, and a soft oak note.
