Glenfarclas – 35 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Glenfarclas 35 Year Old is a single malt from the Grant family's distillery at Ballindalloch in Speyside, in a 70cl bottle. The family has owned the distillery since 1865, and George S. Grant, the current chairman, is the sixth generation to run it. The whisky spent thirty-five years in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks and has a deep mahogany colour with golden reflections. The nose opens with orange peel, figs, raisins and nutmeg, with liquorice, chocolate and dark cherry following. The palate is very mild, with sherry flavours of raisins, figs and orange peel alongside dark chocolate and sandalwood.
