Glenfarclas – 35 Year Old Single Malt

This is a 35-year-old single malt from Glenfarclas, a distillery on Speyside near Ballindalloch that has been in the hands of the Grant family for six generations. The whisky matured in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks for the full 35 years. It comes in a box inspired by the distillery's red warehouse doors. The nose combines roasted almonds, dark dried fruit and creamy toffee. On the palate there is sherry-soaked fruit cake, dark chocolate and raisins, and the finish lingers with cinnamon and cocoa powder.
