This is a 35 year old Glenfarclas single malt, a limited edition released in 2022 in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The whisky was distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2022, after maturing in sherry casks.
Glenfarclas stands at Ballindalloch in Speyside. Robert Hay founded the distillery in 1836, and it has belonged to the Grant family since 1865. Its whiskies are matured almost entirely in former Oloroso sherry casks.
