Glenfarclas 40 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 75cl bottle, matured for forty years. It is a rich, dark gold in colour.
The nose recalls an old leather chair, with walnuts and chocolate-covered raisins. The palate opens sweet, with orange dipped in chocolate and then burnt brown sugar. The finish is dry, with tannins and dark cocoa. A few drops of water, or some time in the glass, will open it up further.
