Glenfarclas 40 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside distillery, bottled at 43%. It was released as Glenfarclas marked 180 years of production since its establishment in 1836.
The nose is fresh and sweet, with a fruity Turkish delight aroma and the freshness of newly opened ground coffee beans. On the palate, light heather honey on buttered toast gives way to caramel and chocolate, then dark chocolate, raisins and sultanas as the sherry character reaches the back of the mouth. The finish is sweet, crisp, dry and lingering.
