Glenfarclas – 60 Year Old Special Bottling

This is a 60 year old Glenfarclas from Speyside, a special bottling of just 105 bottles. It comes from one of the oldest casks at the distillery, dating from 1959. The whisky is a rich, dark golden colour. It is presented in a hand-worked oak box made by N. E. J. Stevenson, lined with suede. The nose brings Christmas cake steeped in Glenfarclas, with spice, orange and dark chocolate. On the palate there is Christmas pudding with brandy butter, a silky texture, rich dark spice, marzipan and Christmas sherry. It is described as an old-style Glenfarclas.
