Glenfarclas 8 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with apples and pears alongside honey and vanilla. On the palate come creamy malt, sherry sweetness and warming spice, with oak and a touch of peat smoke behind. The finish is long and soft, leaving dried fruit, nutty tones and a pinch of spice.
