Glenfarclas 8 Year Old is a sherry-matured single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Like the rest of the distillery's core range it is matured in sherry, but it leans towards a golden, barley-rich character.
The nose brings apple pie topped with diced almonds, with cinnamon, hay, honey and raisin. The palate is nutty and buttery, a little more grassy, and grows slightly chocolatey. The finish is vanilla fudge dotted with raisins, with slices of red apple.
