Glenfarclas Family Cask 1974-2007 is a 32 year old single malt in a 70cl bottle at a natural strength of 60.8% ABV. It matured in a sherry cask, number 5786, and was bottled in a run of 555 bottles.
The whisky was distilled on 5 June 1974 and bottled on 28 February 2007.
The nose is powerful and expressive, with vanilla, nuts and a light freshness. A little water brings out pear drop. The palate is light and fresh, with subtle malt and a balanced sweetness. The finish is medium, with lingering malty notes.
