Glenfarclas Family Cask 1982-2006 is a 24 year old single malt from a second-fill sherry hogshead, cask number 2213. It was distilled on 10 March 1982 and bottled on 30 November 2006 at 58.3%, in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose come supple leather, woody vanilla, toffee and a hint of grass. The palate is rich and spicy with a creamy sweetness, floral and light nutty notes and a touch of malted barley; a little water brings out vanilla and flowers. The finish is soft, elegant and subtly grassy.
