Glenfarclas Family Cask 1989 is a 28-year-old single malt from cask 13010, a sherry butt. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled on 6 December 2018 at 51.4%, as the Winter 2018 release. The sherry butt gives the whisky the generous style associated with Glenfarclas. The nose is rich, with tart red cherries, Christmas spices such as cinnamon and clove, and a chocolatey, faintly smoky background. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy, with dark chocolate, hot caramel and prunes, and a hint of aniseed. The finish is warm and spicy, with red grape, a touch of medicinal syrup and lasting fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
