Glenfarclas – Family Cask 1999 (Summer Release 2024)

This is a single malt from Glenfarclas, the family-owned Speyside distillery founded in 1836 and still run by the Grant family. It comes from the Family Casks collection, launched in 2007, in which each single-cask release represents a different vintage. This one is from 1999 and was part of the Summer Release 2024. The colour is deep amber. The nose has dried fruits, polished oak, toffee and a delicate spice. On the palate are sultanas, roasted nuts, honeyed malt and hints of orange zest, with soft tannins and a refined oak influence.
