Glenfarclas – Heritage Cask Strength (70cl, 60%)

Glenfarclas Heritage Cask Strength is a Speyside single malt matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at cask strength, 60%, in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. The casks are European oak that previously held Oloroso sherry, chosen personally by John Grant at a family-run bodega in Spain. Fruity sherry notes run alongside sweetness and fine vanilla. The nose is fruity with sherry. On the palate, sherry sweetness meets a fine note of vanilla, and the medium-length finish is soft, leaving subtle sherry notes behind.
