This is Glenfarclas Old Presentation, a 10 year old single malt bottled at 40% in the 2000s and kept in its original tube.
The whisky is gold in colour. The nose is malty, with hints of sherry, a mineral note in the background, a little olive oil and coffee, and touches of rum and candy sugar. On the palate come winter spice, fruitcake and toffee with a delicate hint of smoke, then café latte, dried fruits, dates and walnuts.
The finish is medium long, nutty and malty.
