Glenfarclas Private Reserve is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled in 2021 at 46% abv.
The nose is fruity, with cherry and citrus alongside praline notes of hazelnut, almond and caramel. With time in the glass it turns more floral with malty touches, and a few drops of water bring out crème brûlée and dried mango. The palate is lively and creamy, with heather honey balanced by ginger, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon, and dried fruit and white blossom in the middle. The finish is long, gentle and spicy.
