This is a single cask Highland single malt from Glenfarclas, part of The Family Casks series and bottled by J&G Grant. The whisky dates from 1982 and was bottled on 6 December 2018, in winter of that year.
It was drawn from a fourth-fill hogshead and bottled at 47.1%, giving 176 bottles in 70cl size.
The nose is typically described as honey, dry hay, vanilla and toasted barley with a fresh grass note. The palate is creamy and spiced, with nuts, vanilla toffee, clove and white pepper, and the finish is warm and lightly tannic.
