This is a single cask Glenfarclas Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the 2015 vintage, matured in a first fill sherry butt and bottled at 57%. It was chosen jointly by specialist dealers of the Local Dealer Community and opens a new series of cask selections. Butt No. 7 yielded 667 bottles.
The nose offers stewed dark fruits, figs, dates and dark jam, with brown sugar, leather and a touch of tobacco. The palate starts sweet, with cherry and strawberry, before leather, soft wood and sherry spice. Candyfloss and burnt almonds follow, and the finish is long.
