A 12 year old single malt from Glenfiddich, in a 50cl bottle. It is gold in colour. William Grant began making whisky with water from the Robbie Dhu spring in 1887, and the same spring water is still used.
The nose is light, with overripe apples and pears, melon, brioche, light honey and a touch of vanilla. The palate brings apple juice, soft spicy cakes with ginger and cinnamon, mead, vanilla cake, sultanas, all-flower honey and perhaps a hint of ale.
The finish is clean and refreshing, with orange in the aftertaste.
