Glenfiddich 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt matured for twelve years in American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak sherry casks. It was given a refreshed look in 2019, with the character of the whisky unchanged.
The two cask types are described as balancing fresh fruit, soft sweetness and light wood. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with green apple, ripe pear, vanilla and butterscotch alongside light floral notes. The palate brings creamy vanilla, sweet butterscotch and malt, and the finish is soft and fairly long, with fruit, sweet malt and a little woody spice.
