Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matures for 14 years in ex-bourbon American oak casks.
It is then finished in charred new American oak barrels from a cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky.
The nose shows deep vanilla with citrus, caramelised brown sugar and cinnamon, plus baked apple and ripe summer fruit. The palate is rich and sweet, with creamy toffee, woody spices, candied orange peel and toasted oak. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness.
