Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Malt Master Brian Kinsman starts the whisky in ex-bourbon casks, then finishes it in charred new American oak barrels from the Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky.
It is described as pairing the smoothness of Scotland with a sweet Kentucky kick, with woody spice and vanilla character.
The nose is led by vanilla with citrus, caramelised brown sugar, cinnamon and baked apple. The palate is rich and sweet, with creamy toffee, candied orange peel and toasted oak, and the finish is long with lingering sweetness.
