Glenfiddich – 15 Year Old (75cl, 40%)

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky in a 75cl bottle. It is matured in new American oak, ex-bourbon American oak and European oak that previously held sherry. The whisky is then vatted in a Solera Vat, an oak tank that is never emptied completely. Some of the whisky in it is still the original 15 year old that went in when the vat was first filled in 1998. The nose is sherried, with orange peel, toasted wood and almonds. The palate is dry and full-bodied, with nuts, honey, caramel and a little raisin. The finish is long, with nuts and a sweet vanilla note.
