Glenfiddich 15 Years Old Solera Reserva is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It combines whiskies matured in American bourbon casks, Spanish sherry casks and new oak casks, which are brought together in a Solera vat that is kept continually topped up. Sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger feature in its character.
The nose offers ripe fruit, sweet vanilla and soft chocolate, with sherry wood, warm spice and a hint of sweet malt. The palate is full and silky, with ripe fruit, chocolate, toasted oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. The finish is pleasantly long and warming, with sweet spice, chocolate and oak.
