This is a 16-year-old Speyside single malt from Glenfiddich, a limited first edition from 2025 marking the partnership between the distillery and the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and comes in a tube.
The whisky marries malts from American oak wine casks, new American oak casks and second-fill bourbon casks. The combination leans towards rich sweetness and a silky texture, while the fruity character of Glenfiddich stays clear.
The nose is sweet, with sponge-like cheesecake base, maple syrup, caramelised ginger and a hint of toasted oak. Fruit salad and Chantilly cream meet a syrupy mouthfeel on the palate, and the finish is very soft, leaving a lasting sweetness.
