An 18 year old Glenfiddich single malt, distilled in 1978 and bottled in 1996 as part of the Aged series. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is produced in small batches, combining Spanish Oloroso casks with traditional American casks. Each batch is married in wooden tuns for at least three months before bottling.
The nose is candied fruit with cinnamon, ginger, dry sherry and apricot. The palate is gingery, with lime, mango and oak, and the short finish brings sherry, dark chocolate and oak.
