Glenfiddich – 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured for eighteen years in a small selection of Oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then married together. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The colour is deep amber. Ripe orchard fruit, baked apple and dried fruit sit on the nose with gentle spice and toasted oak, while the palate brings dark chocolate, candied peel and soft cinnamon. Tasting notes describe baked apple, pear and dried apricot with orange peel, then toffee, roasted nuts and soft sherry richness. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, gentle oak tannin and baking spice.
