Glenfiddich – 18 Years Old (70cl, 40%)

Glenfiddich 18 Years Old is a Speyside single malt from the Glenfiddich distillery, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the distillery's core range. The whisky is matured in a combination of American oak casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The American oak adds soft vanilla and a rounded structure, while the sherry casks bring depth and richer aromas. The nose shows ripe apple and other orchard fruit, with vanilla, warm spice and oak. On the palate are ripe apple, dried fruit and soft caramel, with cinnamon and a lightly sweet oak undertone. The finish is long and warming, with fruit, cinnamon and oak.
