Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a Speyside single malt matured for twenty-one years in American and European oak casks, then finished in casks that held Caribbean rum. It is bottled at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The rum finish adds notes of banana and brown sugar to the fruity style of Glenfiddich.
The nose offers banana, fig, caramel, vanilla and a touch of spice. The palate is soft and rich, with ripe fruit, toffee, ginger and malted barley. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and spiced wood.
