Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a Speyside single malt finished in Cuban rum casks. It matured for 21 years in American oak before four months in selected rum casks.
The whisky is golden in the glass. Its nose is floral, with vanilla, ripe figs, banana, leather and rich toffee, and the palate moves from a soft, sweet opening to a drier, spicier profile of ginger, pepper and lime, with a touch of smoke and tobacco.
The finish is long and warming, with dry spice and a lingering sweetness from the rum casks.
