Glenfiddich 25 Years Old Rare Oak is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in European sherry casks and American bourbon casks, which added rich fruit and soft vanilla respectively.
The nose is sweet and oaky, with lime marmalade and dried fruit. The palate is velvety, with rounded vanilla sweetness, caramelised Demerara sugar and toasted almonds, then cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove developing over time. The finish is sweet, with lasting spice.
