Glenfiddich Cumulative Time is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from the Time Re:Imagined collection, bottled at 44.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by Remnant Vatting: part of the previous batch is held back and married with whisky from selected butts and hogsheads chosen for the next edition.
The container and stopper are made of Jesmonite, a stone-like material with deep grooves that reveal its vein-like pattern.
Dried fruit, ripe black cherries, dark chocolate and roasted coffee lead the nose, with hints of wood smoke, leather and clove. The palate is full and silky, with fruit cake, dates, raisins and cooked apples, then dry oak. The finish is long, with dried fruit, baking spices and soft oak.
