Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV. It was matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks and came in a green tube.
The nose is elegant, with apple, wood and a soft malt note, sometimes with zesty grapefruit or baked toffee apple. The palate is mellow and slightly sweet, with candied fruit, dried apricot, cinnamon, toffee and a touch of ginger, balanced by gentle oak and a dry sherry influence. The finish is lingering, with citrus peel and a touch of salted toffee.
