Glenfiddich – Classic (1990s)

This is a Glenfiddich single malt from Speyside, bottled by the distillery itself in the 1990s. It was matured in oak casks, including Bourbon casks, and is described as double matured. The nose is fruity, with green apple, stewed pear and a hint of smoke, wrapped in plenty of vanilla from the Bourbon casks. On the palate come dark chocolate, warm cinnamon and prune. The finish is dry and spicy, with dark chocolate lingering.
