Glenfiddich Gran Cortes XXII is a 22 year old Speyside single malt, bottled at 44.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in Spanish Palo Cortado sherry casks and released for the Asian market.
The finish in those casks brings rich, fruity character, with a delicate and balanced range of spices running through it.
On the nose it is typically described as dates, dark chocolate and raisins. The palate moves to sweet oak, vanilla and marzipan, and the finish brings citrus fruits, fruitcake and gentle cinnamon.
