Glenfiddich Gran Reserva is a 21 year old single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured for 21 years in selected barrels, then finished in Caribbean rum casks, which add a further layer to the whisky's character.
The nose is sweet with vanilla, floral notes, hints of banana and fig, rich toffee, new leather and oak. On the palate it starts soft, then turns brisk and drying, with pepper, a touch of smoke, lime, ginger and spice. The finish is very long, warming, dry and spicy.
