Glenfiddich Pure Malt Special Old Reserve is a blended malt from the 1980s, in a 37.5cl bottle supplied in a presentation tube. It has a pale straw colour.
The nose is expressive and grainy, with a slight smokiness at first. It then turns mashier, with notes of mashed potato and boiled milk, before becoming grassy with whiffs of violets and lilac.
The palate starts well, being grainy, grassy and dry.
