Glenfiddich – Pure Malt Special Old Reserve Clan Montgomerie, 1990s Bottling (70cl)

This is a blended malt from Glenfiddich's Highland Clans series, the Clan Montgomerie bottling, released in the 1990s. It comes in a 70cl bottle, in its original presentation tin. The whisky is pale straw in colour. The nose is expressive and grainy with a slight smokiness at first, then turns mashier, with notes of mashed potato and boiled milk, before becoming grassy with whiffs of violets and lilac. The palate is hugely grassy, and the finish is grassy and dry.
