Glenfiddich – Solera Reserve 15 Year (75cl, 40%)

Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the Dufftown distillery, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is matured for fifteen years in ex-bourbon barrels, European sherry butts and new American oak casks. The three are then married in a solera vat, a large oak vessel kept at least half full and running since 1998. The nose combines heather honey, vanilla fudge, baked apple and pear, with raisins and dried fig. The palate is silky, with sherry oak, dark chocolate, marzipan and orange peel. The finish is medium to long, with lingering sweetness, ginger warmth and dried fruit.
