Glenglassaugh – Torfa (70cl, 50.5%)

Glenglassaugh Torfa is the first peated whisky released from the revived Glenglassaugh distillery. It is a Highland single malt, peated to 20ppm and matured fully in ex-bourbon barrels, bottled at 50.5% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The name comes from Old Norse, a language with which the Scots dialect of north-east Scotland has an affinity, and it means turf or peat. Sweet campfire smoke and salty sea air lead into honey on oat biscuits, with spiced fruit flavours lingering.
