This is an 11-year-old Glengoyne single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 2014 and chosen by independent bottler Murray McDavid for its Benchmark series.
It matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and is bottled at a cask strength of 56.6% ABV, with natural colour and without filtration. The release is limited to 850 bottles.
The nose offers sweet pastry, lemon peel and ripe banana. The palate is creamy, with tropical fruit such as mango alongside malty spice. The finish is long, with toffee and a fine note of vanilla.
