Glengoyne – 12 Years (70cl, 43%)

Glengoyne 12 Years is a Highland single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in sherry and bourbon casks in the distillery's traditional warehouses, which have earth floors. The name comes from the Gaelic Glen Guin, meaning valley of the wild geese, and the distillery's crest shows two geese. Whisky has been made on the site for over 200 years, at first illegally, and the distillery was officially founded in 1833. Ian Macleod Distillers bought it in 2003, and it remains in independent Scottish family ownership.
