Glengoyne – 21 Years (70cl, 43%)

This is a 21 year old Glengoyne single malt from the Highlands, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Whisky has been made at Glengoyne for more than 200 years, at first illegally, and the distillery was officially founded in 1833. Ian Macleod Distillers bought it in 2003, and it remains one of very few distilleries still in independent Scottish family ownership. The fruitiness and intensity of Glengoyne grow with age. At this age the character is ripe fruit, joined by the oak notes of the casks.
