Glengoyne – 30 Year Old Sherry Casks Batch 2023 (70cl, 46.8%)

This is a 30 year old Glengoyne from the Highlands, bottled in 2023 as Batch 2023 in a 70cl bottle. The unpeated single malt matured in hand-picked Oloroso sherry casks and is limited to 5,448 bottles. It is bottled at 46.8%, non-chill-filtered and without colouring. Glengoyne was founded in 1833 at the foot of the Dumgoyne hill. The nose has dark fruit such as cherry and plum, sweet sherry notes and a light floral touch. The palate opens sweet, then turns to plum compote, cinnamon and bitter marmalade, with creamy chocolate and black pepper. The finish is long, with candied orange peel, dried fruit and gentle oak spice.
